Serato
Serato DJ Pro 5.0 is released
The beta is over. Serato DJ Pro 5.0 is out now for macOS, Windows and iOS, alongside Serato’s first DJ app for iPhone and iPad. The headline is the rebuilt beatgrid engine, Lucid Beatgrids, with open streaming and cue loops behind it.

What is new
- Lucid Beatgrids
Flexible analysis follows tempo across the whole track, which helps most on live bands, records cut to tape and anything a drummer played. Fixed analysis stays for single-tempo tracks. - Serato DJ for iOS
Serato’s first DJ app for iPhone and iPad, with iOS Transfer to move your crates, cue points, beatgrids and metadata over from a laptop running 5.0. - Open streaming
Stay signed in to Spotify, Tidal, SoundCloud, Beatport and Apple Music at once, with key and BPM shown before you load a streamed track. - Cue loops
Save a loop onto a hot cue so one button jumps and loops together. Serato DJ Pro only. - Protect Library and M3U import
Stops accidental removals, and turns M3U and M3U8 playlist files into crates.
Your old grids do not change by themselves
Installing 5.0 does not rewrite your existing beatgrids. You only get Lucid grids on tracks you re-analyse, and a mass re-analyse has no undo.
Before you re-analyse
Take a copy of your library first. If a re-analyse makes a mess of crates you had right, Selecta Tool can put them back.
Works with Selecta Tool
Selecta Tool is compatible with Serato 5.0, as well as 3.x and 4.x, so you can update when you are ready.
