What DJs Are Saying
★★★★★"Mi have couple duplicates well inna couple different juggling, Mi know weh dem deh but if mi delete dem, it will throw off one or more of the sets. I just used the Duplicate Finder to keep the one I want and it patched the track through the rest of the library, dat bad, game changer."
"File Doctor saved me hours after a hard drive swap. Had hundreds of broken links, fixed everything in minutes. Essential tool for any DJ with a serious collection."
"Cue Studio and the Sampler are next level. MIDI mapping with RGB sync is exactly what I was looking for. Worth every cent of the Pro price, highly recommend."
"The Tag Editor alone saves me so much time. I used to jump between three different apps just to fix metadata before a set. Now it's all in one place and it writes directly to Serato. Genuinely impressed."
"I use most of the features but crate export and backup is legendary, highly recommended."
"Exactly what I needed. Set up all my crates in one session, the scan-folder feature is brilliant. I personally don't need Pro right now but I'd definitely recommend it for power users managing massive libraries. The backup and advanced tools are no joke."
"Library Snapshots is the feature I didn't know I needed. I manage completely different setups for club nights and private events, keeping them separate with zero overlap is perfect. Solid tool, well built."
"This bad yf, did buy a program from a youth from England and that mess up me library, never expect this fi work still, big up inna real life."
"This is world class program, everybody wid duplicate affi check it out."
"I used the program and its solid, no issues so far."
"Simple, fast, does exactly what it says. Moved my whole collection over from iTunes without a single issue. Clean app, clean workflow. Five stars."
"Been using this from day one and it never let me down. Organizing my soca and reggae crates used to take all night, now I'm done in under an hour. Clean, straightforward, no fluff. Exactly what we needed out here."
"Carnival season had my library in shambles, new tracks dropping every day, crates everywhere. Selecta Tool Basic got everything sorted fast. The scan feature is a lifesaver. Real talk, this is built for DJs who actually work."
"Didn't expect a tool this polished at this price point. Imported all my crates, cleaned up duplicates, and the mini player makes previewing tracks dead simple. Big up the team, this one's a must-have."
Frequently Asked Questions
Selecta Tool is a DJ library management app built for Serato DJ Pro. It lets you build and export crates, scan folders, find duplicates, preview tracks, and much more, all outside of Serato. Available for Mac (Intel & Apple Silicon) and Windows 10/11.
Basic covers the core workflow: crate building, scanning, duplicate finding, track preview, and exporting. Pro adds power-user features: Library Backup & Restore, File Doctor, Tag Editor, Library Snapshots, Cue Studio, the Sampler, the Gig Desk for bookings and invoicing, and more. Both tiers ship under the same installer.
Pro Plus includes everything in Basic and Pro, the Gig Desk included on every seat, plus a 3-seat license: install on up to 3 machines or share with up to 3 users. It also adds seat revoke & transfer (up to 3× within 30 days), the ability to purchase extra seats at the intro price for up to 60 days, WhatsApp & SMS direct support, exclusive special genre crates, a Sound FX bundle, and early beta access. It's built for DJs who work across multiple setups, run a sound system, or want the best value across a crew. Pro Plus is available on both Mac and Windows.
The Gig Desk is a Pro and Pro Plus tab that handles the business side of DJing from inside Selecta Tool. Log your bookings, then raise quotes, invoices, receipts and performance agreements against them, branded with your logo, accent colour and social handles in one of four print styles. It handles multiple currencies (USD, CAD, GBP, EUR, JMD, TTD, EC$, CI$ or your own), one tax rate plus two labelled extra charges, saved clients, line-ups that credit each performer, and double-booking warnings. The Money view tracks collected, expenses and net profit by month and currency, including cash taken with no paperwork, and exports a financial report PDF or a CSV. Documents are numbered only when you issue them, emails open in your own mail app, and everything is stored on your machine in a .selgigs file you can back up or move. The Gig Desk never touches your Serato library.
One-time purchase. Pay once, own it forever. No recurring fees, no expiry.
Your license key is delivered instantly via Gumroad to your email after checkout. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive within a few minutes. For direct purchases, the key is sent manually, usually within the same day.
Yes. Purchase Pro at any time and enter your Pro license key in the app's Settings, no reinstall needed. Your existing crates and library data stay intact.
Selecta Tool is built and tested for Serato DJ Pro. Serato DJ Lite uses the same library format so basic crate operations may work, but full compatibility is only guaranteed with Serato DJ Pro.
Selecta Tool writes to the standard Serato database format. We recommend using the Library Backup feature (Pro) before making large changes. Basic users can export a tracklist TXT before any major operation as a reference.
